Parakathi
Parakathi is three stone houses within the medieval walls of Mesta, in southern Chios. Step out of your door and you are straight into the vaulted alleys, where village life moves at its own pace.
Aggelika, Augusta and Kalliopi keep their stone, their vaults and their old materials, together with everything you need for a carefree stay: air conditioning, your own bathroom and an independent entrance.
From here the rest of Chios is close by: the neighbouring mastic villages, the beaches of the south coast and Pyrgi are all within easy reach by car.

The village
In Mesta there are no walls separate from the houses: the houses themselves are the wall. Inside, the alleys twist and vanish beneath stone vaults, just as they were designed centuries ago to confuse pirates.
In the afternoons the central square fills with conversation and the aromas of its cafés, around the imposing church of the Great Taxiarchis.
